For a long time I thought we were growing. More orders. More activity. More noise. But there was a problem: the numbers didn't add up.
Why?
Because a lot of those orders fell through at the end. They didn't pay. Or they didn't come back. We were filling the glass… but it had a hole in the bottom.
Over time, I got it...
Growing isn't billing mor$ It's having customers who come back. It's an operation that doesn't wear you down. It's a cash register that rings, and rings, and rings.
And careful: you don't need to own a company to get this.
The podcaster makes this mistake, so does the person selling on Instagram, the freelancer, the builder. We all fall, at some point, for the illusion that moving is the same as moving forward.
But growing isn't moving. Growing is building. And to build, you need structure.
So what does growth mean to me, today?
🔹 Customers who come back
🔹 Processes that get optimized
🔹 Revenue that doesn't evaporate
That's growth. Everything else… is anxiety with branding.
👊 Hang in there. Fix it. Build.
